Although sometimes overshadowed by more popular destination states in New England, Massachusetts has an abundance of quality ski and snowboard resorts, and its location attracts the heavily populated centers in Southern New England.

In the Berkshire Mountain Range, Jiminy Peak Resort is committed to sustainable skiing thanks to their 1.5 MegaWatt wind turbine that provides about 33% of their annual electrical demands. Ski Butternut has some of the best freestyle terrain parks in the entire state.

Blue Hills is located just outside of Boston in Canton, and provides a great skiing and snowboarding option for the metro area and Ski Ward, is a small but popular ski area close to the Boston area.
